Welcome back to the blog! This week we're going to be featuring some refreshing ideas for maintaining that minimal and modern look that we all adore.
Julie has gone ahead and chosen some of her favourite pieces and looks for a functional and affordable look.
"I love pieces in a home that are affordable and can be used for multiple occasions. I just adore a minimalistic style that is still relevant as time goes on. Here at the Refined Space we really value finding pieces that are sustainable and try to avoid rotating through pieces in homes too often, which is amazing because that is naturally the kind of style I am drawn to."
"I love fine lines, clean spaces, and good neutrals all mixed together with creativity to make every space personal and comfortable."
As you can tell from the photos I've chosen above, I love leading lines that subtly add to a room. I also love using photographs as a statement piece themselves. I believe moments in your life that you have captured add that personal touch that I'm always striving to add in any room. And when you furnish and decorate with neutrals, you can add a pop of colour with photos you love while changing them out as time goes by to continue adding something new.
The New Year is getting me all excited! Even browsing through Pinterest (where most of these photos are from) is getting me inspired and wanting to spruce up my own space in the spring time! It seems that more stores are adding these exciting trends to their regular inventory, including white and black slatwall patterns that I have most recently been drooling over.
If you are looking to recreate any of these looks in your own home, there are many similar styles that you can find at Ikea, Wayfair, Full House Modern, and BoConcept.
We hope you enjoyed this post about how to refresh your space this year and loved some of Julie's choices! Let us know your feedback and which of these photos you enjoyed the most!
Until next time!
