I am HOME. My husband and I, along with our family, spent the past three weeks travelling through Europe.
There are so many countries in Europe, and of course they all have their own flare, but from what I saw, two reoccurring themes came up throughout the trip.
Firstly, the importance of art. Every building has been designed in a way that nothing is just there as a function; it's more than that.
And second, life at home is lived very simply. The average European home is significantly smaller than the average North American home, and yet they are so content. Myles and I came home wanting to live an even more minimal life than we already live!
I found the Netherlands to be very charming. Beautiful brick homes filled nearly every residential street. I am leaving inspired by the neutral tones and natural elements in and around these homes.
We sure had a good time and hope to go back some day. If you are planning any sort of trip to Europe in the near future, please reach out! I am more than happy to send my recommendations your way!
