How special is it that we have an entire day dedicated to honouring our fathers?! These are some special men that have helped shape us into who we are today. We wanted to get a bit more personal with this blog post and invite you into our world for a minute as we each share a little about the men that we call dad.
This is my dad and I. In this photo we're at the top of a volcano watching the sunrise. I love that my dad makes it a priority to have fun (something we take for granted!). Fun fact: he bought me my first dirt bike when I was 10 and taught me how to ride it in the backyard! Love my dad for raising me to love this place we call home! Happy Father's Day!
My dad has taught me to get involved in my community, volunteer, be present and help out. He has also encouraged me to dream - set goals and take the steps to make them happen!
My step dad has set an example and lives a life full of kindness, love and encouragement, even if someone doesn't reciprocate that - be kind anyways! My step dad has inspired me by watching him run in races and lead a healthy lifestyle.
My dad is one of the most hard working guys I know, but he is also one of the biggest goofballs around. He has taught me to always push myself and work hard to get ahead, but to also stop and enjoy life and all that is has to offer us. He always takes time to show us new places and experiences, and I am so thankful for all of the memories made with him..... Especially cruising around on the back of his motorcycle to grab some fries and a brew.
Growing up, some of my best memories with my father were going to motor cross shows, dirt biking, watching movies while he "rested his eyes", and taking me to my horse shows. He has shown me that hard work pays off, and if you are going to do something, do it to the best of your ability. He has been a great role model in showing me what a loving, respectful and caring individual looks like.
We hope that you all have a wonderful day celebrating the fathers in your life, and we invite you to leave a comment to share with us what you have learnt from your father.
Happy Father's Day!
